Definitely takes heart to make it up this bad boy!
To say this is an easy hike would be an absolute lie. Last minute decision due to time restrictions myself and a friend decided to go up this one. He has done this one before.
Oh my was I not expecting this.

Heart can be done either as a horseshoe loop or as a scramble up and back down with a large altitude gain over a short period of time. Not only does the steepness smack you right in the face, but the lose rock and little compacted trail give you little traction. Side note: use the flat looking rocks on the trail to walk up as they have a lot more grip that you think.
The entire walk up you just look up at the summit thinking “Jesus, am I there yet?”, but you get up there is rather good time. It just feels like a slog just because you are going straight up. The views are constant however as you walk up the ridge over looking the Lac de Arcs.
I would like to consider myself of average moderate fitness and I found this somewhat on the more difficult side just as it was such an incline.

I will definitely be doing this hike again but the horseshoe loop!
